Peacebuilders Canada returned May 1st to the Globe and Mail Centre to host the 22nd annual Spring for Peace fundraising event presented by Mattamy Homes.
High in the sky guests were given a panoramic view above the city to help support Peacebuilders’ restorative youth justice programs that help young people avoid Court involvement and succeed at school.
A Ceremonial Indigenous welcome was presented by Grandmother Kim Wheatley. Also this evening, Keynote Speaker Michael “Pinball” Clemons had some reassuring words with what he does best, coaching others for best life practices as a true philanthropist to our youth. Breaking the cycle of poor life choices and lack of education.
Serious work, but lots of fun followed with entertainment first by Cody Cuisa on guitar and later DJ Tilt.
This popular fundraiser is well known as being a culinary experience with many food stations along with some fine wine tastings that help to promote the silent and virtual online auctions that have become very popular and important. The attitude of gratitude.
Our thanks to Stephanie Chong for this invitation to raise awareness.
