Who can remember 1929 ? Well that was the start of Dixon Hall first as a much needed soup kitchen offering meals to those without in very hard times. This charity has since integrated to offer a diverse range of services for that same area of Regent Park in East Downtown Toronto. It never closed even during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dixonlicious returned June 22th to Daniel’s Spectrum as the annual fundraiser that is crucial in raising necessary funds to support both young and older residents facing issues of housing, seeking employment and needing professional counciling.
The Dixon Hall music School is a more recent addition to the programs offered and we had a special performance by the Senior Choir featuring Anna Mekonnen.

Each year I have recognized the same staff from local restaurants and breweries who volunteer their services in this culinary event that supports Dixon Hall’s food program. Returning again for the second year was Elizabeth Dawn Snell who gave a dazzling aerial silk rope performance.Wow, breathtaking.
